Website and audio examples

Wix provides the website, images and audio files. Wix receives technical connection data, including your IP address, the requested content, the time of access and browser information. This data is used to deliver the website and maintain its security and technical reliability. The before/after player downloads the comparison files from Wix when you start playback.

Wix's optional analytics, advertising and optional sharing of data with third parties are disabled. The separate Cloudflare visitor statistics are described below. Technically necessary cookies and similar functions may be used for operation and security.

The listening examples use the embedded Apple Music player. It loads only when you select a track. Apple then receives technical connection data, including your IP address and browser/device information, as well as information about the website and your use of the player. Apple may use cookies or similar storage technologies. If you sign in and play music, Apple may associate your activity with your Apple Account. Details: Apple Music web player and Privacy.

The other music platforms, social networks and the Dropbox upload service are linked as external services. You access the respective provider's service only when you follow a link; its own privacy terms then apply.

Visitor statistics without cookies

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), to see the approximate number of visits to this website. Visits are not a count of uniquely identified people. The statistics cover page views, referring websites, browser and device types, country of origin and load times. Cloudflare also technically receives your IP address when the measurement script loads and measurement data is transmitted.

Cloudflare states that Web Analytics uses neither cookies nor localStorage and does not create fingerprints to recognise individual visitors. I receive aggregated statistics and do not combine them with customer data. The statistics are not used for personalised advertising. Further information is available from Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

You can object to the statistics at any time using “Disable visitor statistics” at the bottom of every page. The page then reloads without the measurement script. This does not retrieve measurement data already transmitted. You can change your choice again using “Enable visitor statistics”.

Your objection is saved as a simple preference in your browser's storage (localStorage). This setting contains no visitor identifier and is not sent to Cloudflare. It applies to this website in this browser until you change it or clear the website data; you may need to set it again in other browsers or private browsing. If your browser cannot save the choice, a URL parameter keeps statistics off for the open page and its internal links; the setting at the bottom of the page will tell you to switch them off again on a new visit.

If your browser blocks access to this preference storage or signals “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, the website does not load the measurement script.

Enquiries and projects

When you contact me or commission work, I process your contact details, messages, project information and the data needed to manage and invoice the work. I use Google Gmail, purchased through Wix, for email communication.

Project files and storage

I use the audio and project files you supply to work on your project. These files may contain names, voices and other personal data. I store active projects with Dropbox on the Essentials plan. The upload link lets you send files to me through Dropbox. I keep my project archive exclusively locally on my own hard drives.

Retention

I retain business records for the applicable statutory periods. I keep other project-related records where necessary to fulfil the contract or protect legitimate legal claims.

Audio and project files remain in my local archive after a project is completed, in particular for later revisions or delivery of another copy. There is no fixed deletion period for this archive. This does not promise indefinite availability of your project files. If you request deletion, I assess which data is still needed and which statutory retention obligations apply.

Service providers and processing abroad

For the purposes described above, Wix, Google, Dropbox, Cloudflare and Apple, together with their service providers, may receive personal data. Wix.com Ltd. is based in Israel and identifies data centres in the United States and Ireland. Dropbox identifies Dropbox International Unlimited Company in Ireland for users outside North America. Google and Dropbox operate international infrastructure and process data in the United States in particular. Cloudflare is a US company with international infrastructure and identifies the United States and the European Economic Area as its primary storage locations. Apple identifies the United States as the usual storage location for data it collects worldwide and describes using standard contractual clauses for transfers from Switzerland. Processing is therefore not limited to Switzerland.

In their privacy information linked below, Google LLC and Dropbox, Inc. state that they participate in the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. This provides a basis for transfers to the United States covered by that framework. Google and Dropbox also describe using standard contractual clauses for transfers without an adequacy decision. Wix likewise describes standard contractual clauses and additional technical and organisational safeguards for such transfers. Cloudflare describes relying on its Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification for transfers from Switzerland to the United States and on standard contractual clauses for other international transfers. Their privacy information provides further details on recipients, processing locations and the respective safeguards:

Your rights

You can request information about your personal data and ask for incorrect details to be corrected. Where the legal requirements are met, you may request deletion, cessation of processing, or the release or transfer of certain data. Statutory retention obligations and legitimate overriding interests remain reserved. Please contact beni@gut.audio. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
